missingWrote a review on 08 Mardirty rugshigh laundry feesbasic breakfast
On arrival, the rugs in the room felt a bit grimy, which detracted from the overall cleanliness. The per item fee for laundry services is unusually high—something to avoid unless absolutely necessary. While enjoying my meals at the restaurant, I found the breakfast options rather basic compared to nearby local eateries, which offered more vibrant choices.

Exceptional service from the warm staff, from Simi's friendly welcome to Akhil seeing us off. The room was lekker, full of character with all the necessary comforts! The brekkie was a winner, especially the dosas, made fresh right there. Love that!
The noise from outside could be a bit much at times. just a few bliksem noisy guests now and then.

Eighth Bastion hotel stood out for its exceptional service and charming atmosphere. The staff warmly welcomed me upon arrival, especially Simi, who made a lasting impression. I enjoyed the spacious Bastion Room with its comfortable amenities. the bathroom was large and thoughtfully equipped. The complimentary tuk-tuk ride offered an excellent way to explore Fort Kochi, making my stay even more memorable. The food proved to be a highlight, with a diverse menu that exceeded my expectations, particularly the fresh seafood dishes prepared by the talented chef. While my balcony room had a nice view, the heat made it less inviting at times. Housekeeping needed a bit more attention. for instance, I had to call for coffee and toilet paper on a couple of occasions. Small adjustments like this can enhance the experience significantly. A minor downside was the brightness of the air conditioner display, which could disturb light sleepers. a lovely stay with wonderful staff and fantastic dining options, but attention to housekeeping and minor room details could elevate it further.

i was all set to give a glowing review, but then I encountered stale breakfast options and no pool-facing room despite my confirmation. as a guest, I expected at least a complimentary gesture for the inconvenience. the staff were polite, but that's hardly enough. absoluteley poor experience for a so-called boutique hotel.
